2. What information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the site, provide products and services, and communicate with you.

Information you give us

Contact data: your name, email address, and any message you include when you contact us or sign up for our newsletter.
Purchase data: billing email, order details, and delivery info when you buy products via SellKit, Gumroad, or similar platforms. We do not store your full card data — payments are processed by third-party providers (Stripe, Gumroad, SellKit, etc.).
Account info (if applicable): username and password if you create an account on our site.

Information we collect automatically

Usage data: pages you visit, clicks, session duration, and technical info (browser, device, IP address).
Cookies & tracking: we use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and analyze performance. See section 5 for details.

Information from third parties

When you sign up or purchase through third-party platforms (Gumroad, SellKit, PayPal, etc.), we may receive confirmation of the purchase and the email you used there.
When you log in with third-party accounts (if we offer it), we may receive profile information from those services.

3. How we use your information

We use your information for clear, limited purposes:

To deliver products you buy (send downloads, receipts, license files).
To communicate with you: order updates, support messages, product updates, and newsletters (only if you subscribe).
To operate and improve the Site: analytics, A/B testing, and bug fixes.

KlickTrust participates in affiliate programs and may earn commissions if you click our affiliate links and purchase. This helps support our work and keeps many resources free. We only partner with tools we test or trust.

Affiliate tracking means third-party networks (e.g., Impact, AppSumo, PartnerStack) may place cookies or use pixels to attribute sales. Those partners process data according to their own policies — we recommend you review their privacy notices when necessary.

6. Who we share data with

We share personal data only when necessary and only with trusted service providers:

Payment processors: Payoneer, Binance, Gumroad, SellKit (for order processing) Or mail us at klicktrust@gmail.com.
Email & marketing: ConvertKit, MailerLite, or another provider (for newsletter delivery).
Analytics: Google Analytics, Plausible, or similar (for site metrics).
Affiliate platforms: Impact, PartnerStack, AppSumo, or others for tracking referrals and payouts. (Not Applied yet)
Technical providers: hosting (Satisfyhost, Hostinger, WP Engine, etc.), backup and security services.

We require our service providers to protect your data and not to use it for their own purposes beyond providing the service.

We may disclose personal information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or to respond to lawful requests (court orders, subpoenas).

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA style)

You have control over your data. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights:

Access: Ask what personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Ask us to update inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (with limited exceptions for legal/financial records).
Portability: Request a copy of your data in a common format.
Opt-out of sale: We do not sell personal information. If you believe otherwise, contact us.
Do Not Track: We respect browser Do Not Track preferences where supported.

8. Marketing & newsletters

You will only receive marketing emails if you opt in. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending marketing emails (but you may still receive transactional emails about orders or account actions).

9. Data retention and security

We keep your personal data only as long as needed:

Purchases and tax-related records: up to 7 years (local laws may require retention).
Newsletter and marketing consents: until you unsubscribe.
Support messages & backups: up to 2 years unless you request deletion earlier.

We use industry-standard security measures (SSL/TLS, secure hosting, regular backups). While we work hard to protect your data, no online system is 100% secure. If we discover a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and authorities in accordance with applicable law.

10. International data transfers

KlickTrust operates globally. Some service providers may process data outside your country. We use standard safeguards such as contracts and trusted providers to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.

11. Children

Our site and services are not directed at children under 16. If you are under 16, please do not provide personal data. If we discover we have collected data about a child without parental consent, we will delete it promptly upon verification.

12. Third-party links

Our site contains links to third-party sites (tools, marketplaces, partners). We are not responsible for those sites’ privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before providing personal data.

13. Penalties, misuse, and enforcement (abuse policy)

We take misuse and fraud seriously. If you use our products, services, or partner links to commit fraud, violate licenses, or abuse affiliate programs, we may:

Terminate your access to resources, downloads, or accounts.
Revoke resale or commercial licenses if they are used unlawfully.
Pursue legal action when appropriate.

Likewise, we expect partners and affiliates to behave honestly. If an affiliate network requests verification, we will cooperate fully and provide the information necessary to confirm legitimate operations.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will publish the new “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, notify active users by email. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised policy.
